So that, I'm a woman, and I love animals. I've been told to be creative, poetic and bossy, so that'll hopefully make for some entertaining GMing shenanigans for you all! I'm mostly into Fantasy, but I've been known to enjoy Historical, Romance and Sci-fi as well (if you ever want to try out a Western, space/horror/historical or whatever, you can certainly try recruiting me for I have a craving for it just now!) I've been roleplaying since the winter of 2009 (or was it 2008?) I believe, and I've since gone in and out of writing moods. you can see the little door under the foot.To this community I shall be known as Closet Gossip, or CG for short, and will do my best in be an active member of your group! I'm twenty-five, going on twenty-six in may (already?!), and though my renewed interest in finishing my education and find my way into employment into some hospital or similarly medicine-oriented workplace take much of my time, I'll endeavor to entertain some of you with my prose and my spontaneous plot bunnies. look at the front mont on the third and fourth pictures. I used my jigsaw to cut the groove a few inches closer to the middle on each side and all is well. the middle is solid but for some slots in the middle to get the custom torx with a nipple in the middle screwdriver through to tighten the feet to the bottom. top layer has a cut in the middle and the rack attachment slides on.īottom layer also has a track going through it, but not all the way. it looks fine, but the feet mount to the bottom of the bar via a sliding hole/track in the bottom. The rack i got was not made for an e36 as advertised, but the larger e91 as evidenced by the sticker. now my plastic feet look yucky from the dremel. that was where my problems were coming from, and i didnt know until it was too late. so now if i turn the rack upside down my 50 cent bolt will fall on the floor. ![]() I took off the plastic sleeve that goes around/above teh bolt under the plastic foot. i got rid of them because they were too long and got the little black allen head bolts at home depot. Im talking about the metal feet inside the plastic casing. Turns out i probably didnt have to dremel the plastic casing. Now the bad news, the feet say BMW instead of ION on them. The rack says it is for an E90/91, and the ad says it came off an E46. I ground a groove on each end and viola, it fits over the door and sits nicely. The plastic casing around the footing is a little smaller than the door we flip up. There are slots in the cross bar where the screws go, so adjusting the width is a breeze. believe it or not, the Astra mounting points are wider than the BMW it came off of. Off to eBay i went and I bought myself a genuine BMW roof rack (which is made by Thule for BMW with the BMW logo on it for an extra $$$ ) with a snowboard attachment from a BMW (i dont snowboard, now i have to trade that or see if the ski rack for the rack on the Volvo fits). While theyre at it, they could wear custom necklaces imprinted with their faces to match Sir Simons cat. ![]() ![]() If its good enough for Sir Simon, it might even be good enough for William and Kate. Some Subarus, Mercedes, and a lot of BMWs use the same landing pad. A post shared by Sir Simon The Cat (sirsimonofsays) Ooh, big stretch If you thought royalty makes you too good to sleep in a cardboard box, think again. I cross referenced what other cars use the same landing pad as the Astra. I saw that Yakima using landing pads that go under their control towers. Then, if you are content putting a used Thule rack on your new Saturn, take advantage of my miserly research and do what i did.
